For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to design and tech. As a kid, I’d spend hours rearranging layouts in notebooks, playing with digital tools, and pulling things apart just to see how they worked. I wasn’t just into making things look good, I wanted to understand how they worked, and build something from scratch.
That curiosity eventually led me to my first blog as a teenager. I started on Blogger, where I fell in love with the ability to customize everything. Sure, I enjoyed writing, but what really hooked me was changing layouts, editing colors, and tweaking code (even when I had no idea what I was doing). That was my first introduction to HTML and CSS. Once I realized I could control both how a site looked and functioned, I was all in.
From hobby to profession
Over time, I explored every platform I could get my hands on. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify. I tried them all. They were great for learning and getting things live quickly, but eventually, I started feeling boxed in. I wanted full creative freedom, and that’s when I made the leap to WordPress.
At first, WordPress felt like a lot. It wasn’t as plug-and-play as the others, and it took some trial and error to get comfortable. But everything changed when I discovered Elementor. It gave me the freedom to design without limits and the flexibility of WordPress. No heavy coding required. That was the turning point. It clicked. And I knew I’d found the perfect balance between creativity and control.
Turning passion into a business
What started as a personal obsession slowly turned into something more. I began working with creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who needed websites that didn’t just look good, they needed to work. They needed clarity, strategy, and ease. And most of them didn’t have the time, tech skills, or patience to build it all from scratch.
That’s why I created The Cherie Studio (a sister brand to The Cherie Agency). I wanted to take everything I’d learned – all the design, all the behind-the-scenes problem-solving, and turn it into something people could use. Something beautiful, easy, and empowering. Instead of building sites from the ground up every time, I started creating custom-crafted templates that made it possible to launch a professional website without the stress.
Final thoughts
For me, this has never just been about websites. It’s about helping people bring their ideas to life, with confidence. Whether you’re launching your first business, refreshing your brand, or finally putting yourself out there online, I believe your website should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
That same feeling I had when I customized my first blog? It’s still what drives me today. And it’s why I put so much intention and heart into every design I create.
If you’re ready to build something that feels like you, our templates are here to make it easy, beautiful, and effortless.
